Communist Party of India (Marxist) received Rs 171.04 crore in the financial year 2020-21 and out of this the party spent Rs 101.80 crore. The party has given this information in its latest annual audited report submitted to the Election Commission.
At the same time, according to documents submitted by the ruling National People’s Party (NPP) in Meghalaya, it received Rs 69.82 lakh and spent Rs 32.30 lakh.
Both these parties are recognized national political parties and their annual audited reports for the financial year 2020-21 were made public on Wednesday. The CPI(M) is leading the government in Kerala. The NPP is the only party in the North-Eastern states to have got the status of a national party.
