The Madras High Court on Wednesday advised the Tamil Nadu government to provide a fixed percentage of special reservation to transgenders. Justice Ramesh said, while providing reservation, exemption and relief in the state, relief should also be provided to transgenders in the same proportion as other socially and economically backward classes.
