Aurangabad. After first telling a fabricated story of atrocities against Muslims across the country, now All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also plunged into the Hanuman Chalisa controversy. Owaisi has rubbished the statement of MP Navneet Rana of reading Hanuman Chalisa outside the house of Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. Owaisi argued that if I want to offer Namaz outside PM Modi’s house, then it will be inappropriate. Along with this, Owaisi also targeted the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) supremo Raj Thackeray. He said that Raj Thackeray has institutionalized hatred and Muslims are being punished collectively.
In a public meeting in Aurangabad, Owaisi said that BJP is institutionalizing this hatred and Raj Thackeray is promoting it. Owaisi’s remarks came on Navneet Rana, Independent MP from Amravati and her MLA husband Ravi Rana. Both were arrested after giving a statement reading Hanuman Chalisa outside Uddhav Thackeray’s house. At present both are in jail and the court will pronounce its verdict on bail tomorrow. On the charge of sedition against Navneet and Ravi, Owaisi said that the sedition law has to be heard in the Supreme Court and the court will decide what is right and what is wrong.
Asaduddin Owaisi also targeted Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. He said that Sanjay Raut should not have dragged me into this controversy. He didn’t need to call me a Hindu Owaisi to provoke Raj Thackeray. This is an internal issue of the Thackeray family and they will have to try to find a solution for it.
