Let us tell you that in the 15th convocation ceremony of Nalanda Open University, Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar Prasad started his address and asked whether you will make India strong with hatred or love? When the voice came from the children sitting in the auditorium saying ‘with love’, the Education Minister while continuing his speech said that there are some thoughts in the country which want to spread hatred and these thoughts are not of today but three thousand years ago. These thoughts originated there when Manusmriti was written.
Significantly, this statement of Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar Prasad related to Ramcharitmanas is being discussed everywhere. While narrating the verses of Ram Charit Manas, the minister said that this book insults the Shudras. This is a book that sows hatred. Chandrashekhar Prasad, citing Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, said that Baba Saheb had burnt Manusmriti because it serves to prevent Dalits, backward and women from education.
