New Delhi. Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah often makes such statements, which create controversy. Now once again Congress leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said something about the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is bound to be a ruckus. In fact, in a program in Mysore, Siddaramaiah compared BJP leaders to dogs. Let us inform that the Textbook Revision Committee of the Government of Karnataka constituted in 2020 under the chairmanship of author Rohit Chakratirtha has recently revised the social science textbooks from class 6 to class 10 and the textbooks of Kannada language from class 1 to 10. The main opposition Congress is the attacker regarding this.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had also reached Karnataka Congress’s protest at Vidhana Soudha against the same alleged “saffronisation” of textbooks in the state. During this, he said that his protest will continue till the government takes a decision to withdraw the revised textbooks. Siddaramaiah also said that “our people don’t talk and that’s why we have distributed books from our office.”
They bark like dogs against me: Siddaramaiah
In Mysore, Siddaramaiah compared Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders to dogs, saying, “When I speak personally, 25 people of BJP start barking at me like mudhol (hunting) dogs. But when they bark, only I have to speak, no one else from our party speaks.”
Earlier Siddaramaiah slammed the RSS over the changes in the textbook in Bengaluru, saying, “The textbook has been revised by Rohit Chakratirtha (head of the textbook revision committee), who is a conservative RSS person. I hope the government will consider revising it, if not, we will hit the streets.”
Who is called Mudhol dog?
The term Mudhol Hound used by former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for BJP leaders is also known as Caravan Hound. In Karnataka, they are commonly used by villagers as hunting and guard dogs. Although there has been no response from the BJP on this statement of Siddaramaiah so far, but it remains to be seen what political ruckus this statement creates.
