In such a situation, a 25-year-old Bangladeshi girl from Thane in Maharashtra has been detained by the police for living illegally in India for two and a half years. The woman has been identified as Rimi Mohammad Ramzhan Siddar.
District Additional Sessions Judge AS Pandharikar has sentenced Rimi, a resident of Nodal district of Bangladesh, guilty of various sections under the Indian Passport Act and Foreigners Act for illegal stay and sentenced to 2 years and 5 months and also 14000 rupees. has also been punished. The court noted that in the year 2019, the district police officers had searched the woman in the Kashmir slum area. During this time he had detained three Bangladeshi women living illegally, who did not have any passport or visa to stay in India. At present, the other two women are out on bail.
