After the victory in all the four states with its government in the elections of five states, preparations for Mission 2024 have started in the BJP. Meanwhile, elections to two states are to be held at the end of 2022 and nine in 2023. The BJP aims to form its own or NDA governments in all these states, so that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections can be landed in a completely positive environment. For this, the organization has been started to improve. Some important organizational changes are likely to take place in the party in April.
The BJP organization was also reviewed in the meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the Pratinidhi Sabha held in Ahmedabad. Since the organization ministers of the BJP are the pracharaks of the Sangh, the political significance of their appointment is considered very important. After this meeting, the organization minister of the party has been changed in Madhya Pradesh. Suhas Bhagat, who was the organization minister, has been brought back to the Sangh. Hitanand Sharma, who was working as co-organization minister with him, has been given the responsibility of organization minister. According to sources, keeping in mind the mission 2024, changes are to be made in three to four states also in the organization ministers.
Modi and Nadda’s home states also included
Before the next Lok Sabha elections, assembly elections are to be held in 11 states of the country. Of these, elections are to be held in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh at the end of this year 2022. Both have BJP governments. Gujarat is important for being the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, while Himachal Pradesh is the home state of party president JP Nadda. Himachal Pradesh is also important because the BJP had to face defeat in the four by-elections held there.
2024 rehearsal to be held in 2023
After this, the year 2023 will be the most important. There are nine assembly elections in this year. This being the year before the Lok Sabha elections, it will also be important for election preparations. Four of these nine states are Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura in the Northeast. BJP is in power in Tripura and NDA allies are in power in the rest. Among the big states, Karnataka will be first followed by Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Telangana elections. Among them, BJP is in government in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh, while Congress is in power in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan and TRS is in government in Telangana. These are the only two state governments left with the Congress.
Changes possible in half a dozen states
According to sources, the BJP along with the Sangh has started strong organizational preparations. This includes the states having assembly elections in both the years as well as other states. In about half a dozen states, many changes have to be made at the state president and also at the organization level. These changes will start from the month of April.
