New Delhi. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, known for his jokes in Parliament, is now seen to be caught in a new charge. The matter is related to spending money of Punjab during election campaign in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. In which RTI activist Harmilap Grover has made serious allegations against him. Bhagwant Mann used to accuse former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi regarding this issue while being an MP. Bhagwant Mann often used to tell jokes about the expenses incurred in Charanjit’s election journey. But now the sword is seen hanging around his neck on this issue.
A lot of money was spent in the election journey
There is an allegation on the Chief Minister of Punjab that he is spending the money of the Punjab Government in the election journey of other states. According to the RTI report, the cost of traveling by private airplane for election campaign in Gujarat state has come to Rs 44 lakh 85 thousand 967. Giving information, RTI activist from Bathinda said that on his behalf, the Punjab government was asked through RTI that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had gone to Himachal Pradesh for campaigning for their party. A new burden was put on the treasury of Punjab by spending lakhs of rupees. Punjab has already got a debt of crores. Along with this, the RTI activist, referring to the old things of Bhagwant Mann, said that when former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi used to go in helicopters. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann used to tell jokes on him, then what happened now?
