New Delhi: The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has taken major action against the employees of Delhi Women Commission. Taking major action, Delhi LG Vinay Saxena has dismissed 223 employees from Delhi Women Commission. On the orders of LG, Delhi Women Commission has removed 223 of its employees with immediate effect.
Actually, all these employees are those employees who were appointed by the former chairperson of Delhi Women Commission, Swati Maliwal. It is alleged that the then chairperson of Delhi Women Commission, Swati Maliwal, had appointed her without permission, going against the rules.
what’s in the order
Actually, the Delhi Women Commission Act has been cited in the order, which says that only 40 posts are sanctioned in the Commission and DCW does not have the right to hire employees on contract. In this order issued by the Additional Director of Delhi Women Commission Department, it has also been said that before the new appointments, no evaluation of the essential posts was done nor was permission taken for additional financial burden. Let us tell you that this action has been taken on the basis of the inquiry report submitted to the then Lieutenant Governor in February 2017.
