Gandhinagar. Voting was held on December 1 and 5 for 182 seats in the Gujarat Assembly. Today the results of these seats are to come. Along with these results, there is also the question of the reputation of many big and famous names. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) CM face Isudan Gadhvi are among these popular and prestigious candidates. Many other stalwarts also contested the assembly elections this time. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Bhai Patel has contested from Ghatlodiya. Minister of State for Home Harsh Shanghvi is from Majura seat. Whereas, Aam Aadmi Party’s Isudan Gadhvi is in the fray from Khambhalia seat. AAP’s state president Gopal Italia has descended from Katargam. Hardik Patel, who came to BJP from Congress and became famous by Patidar movement, has contested from Viramgam and Alpesh Thakor from Gandhinagar South.
Talking about other famous and big faces, Rivaba Jadeja, wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, has contested on BJP ticket from Jamnagar North seat. BJP’s Payal Kukrani is also from Naroda Patiya seat. At the same time, BJP rebel Madhu Srivastava has contested as an independent from Waghodia seat. Leader of Opposition Sukhram Rathwa Chhota is in the fray from Jetpur in Udaipur, Jayesh Radadiya from Jetpur itself and Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani from Vadgam seat in Banaskantha. Former Gujarat minister Purushottam Solanki is trying his luck from the Bhavnagar Rural seat. Kantilal Amritiya is in the fray from Morbi seat and Kuvarji Bavaliya from Jasdan seat.
The results of the Gujarat assembly elections will come by this evening. It will be known in the afternoon itself that whose government is going to be formed in the state this time. BJP is ruling here for the last 27 years and it claims that once again it is going to form the government in Gujarat. At the same time, the Congress claims that it will form the government this time. Whereas, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has already staked claim to form the government for his party. Kejriwal even claims that Congress will not get more than 5 seats in Gujarat.
