New Delhi. An important development has come to light in the firing case of Umesh Pal and two government gunmen. Just 11 days before the shootout, the shooters involved in the incident had met Ali Ahmed, son of jailed mafia Atiq Ahmed. Pictures of the accused were captured in the CCTV footage. This footage surfaced on the death anniversary of mafia Atiq Ahmed. In the CCTV footage, attacker Guddu Muslim carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh, shooter Ghulam who was killed in a police encounter and jailed conspirator Sadaqat can be clearly seen.
On February 13, 2023, all three had met Ali Ahmed, son of jailed Atiq Ahmed. Police have made Ali and Umar, sons of jailed mafia Atiq Ahmed, accused in the Umesh Pal shootout case. Based on the statements and evidence, the police will soon file a chargesheet against Ali and Umar. Atiq’s elder son Umar is imprisoned in Lucknow, while his second son Ali Ahmed is in Naini Central Jail in Prayagraj. A few days before the Umesh Pal shootout, Atiq’s third son Asad had gone to Bareilly to meet his uncle Ashraf along with shooter Ghulam, Vijay Chaudhary and Guddu Muslim. After returning from there, many shooters also went to Naini Jail of Prayagraj on 13 February 2023 and met Ali in jail.
Was there a conspiracy in Naini jail also?
In the CCTV footage, criminal Guddu Muslim can be seen carrying a bag carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh. Shooter Ghulam and Muslim boarding school resident Sadaqat Khan are also seen with him. A conspiracy related to Umesh Pal shooting was hatched in Naini jail also. On 24 February 2023, Umesh Pal and two government gunmen were killed by bullets and bombs.
In the Umesh Pal shootout case, three shooter attackers Guddu Muslim, Sabir and Armaan are still absconding. A reward of Rs 5 lakh each has been announced for their capture. Meanwhile, on April 13, Ghulam Atiq’s third son Asad was killed in an STF encounter in Jhansi. At the same time, Sadaqat Khan is lodged in Naini Central Jail on charges of involvement in the conspiracy. Last year, on this day on April 15, mafia Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were murdered in police custody.
