Patna . Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) 10th (Matric) results were declared on Thursday. This year about 80 percent of the candidates have been declared successful.
Bihar Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary released the exam result. Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Sanjay Kumar and BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor were also present on the occasion.
This year 79.88 percent i.e. more than 12.86 lakh candidates have been successful. This year eight candidates have made their place in the top five. Ramayani Rai of Patel High School has secured the highest marks in the state with 487 marks out of 500. This year around 16.11 lakh candidates appeared in the matriculation examination.
Releasing the examination results, Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said that Bihar is the first state in the country which has declared the result of this Intermediate (12th) and 10th examination. He praised the officials and teachers of the department and BSEB and said that this year the result of matriculation examination was declared within 34 days.
The matriculation examination in the state was conducted from February 17 to February 24.
