A heartbreaking case of a gang rape has come to light from Gopalganj district of Bihar. Three youths gang -raped a young woman at Sasamusa railway station. The incident took place when the girl came to Gopalganj from UP to treat her disabled father. The police have arrested one of the accused, while two accused are absconding and raids are being conducted by the police in search of them.
Details of the event
This painful incident took place at Sasamusa railway station in Kuchayakot police station area. The woman came to the station to return on Sunday night after undergoing treatment with her disabled father. Due to missing the train, they had to stay overnight at the station. Around four o’clock in the morning the girl went to Chapakal to fill the water, where three youths caught her.
The three accused forcibly carried the woman to a secluded place and gang -raped her. The woman made a noise, but the accused threatened her and then escaped. Later, the nearby people ran away after hearing the screams of the girl and they immediately informed the police and GRP.
Police action and arrest
After receiving the information, the police of Kuchayakot police station reached the spot and started the investigation. An accused has been arrested on the trail of the victim, from whom the police is interrogating. Police is engaged in interrogation of the arrested accused so that other accused can be identified.
Gopalganj SP Awadhesh Dixit confirmed that one of the accused has been arrested and the police is constantly taking action to arrest all the accused. The FSL (Forensic Science Lab) team is also being investigated in a scientific manner so that evidence can be strengthened.
Local response and police preparation
Local people are quite angry since the incident and they have demanded a severe punishment to the accused. The victim has been admitted to the local hospital for treatment and medical examination. The police have increased patrolling at the scene and surrounding areas due to the seriousness of the case.
