Expansion
Along with increasing the income of farmers in the budget, attention has also been paid to increase the yield of pulses and oilseeds. In this, the government will provide seeds of pulses and oilseeds to the farmers free of cost. Vegetable sales centers will be set up in cities. 54 market courtyards will be developed at a cost of Rs.2446 crore. 361 check dams of 30 feet will be built and agriculture plant banks will also be established in 8463 packs.
16.5% of the total budget will be spent on education
Many important provisions have also been made regarding education in the budget. It has been said that 16.5% of the total budget should be spent on education. 40,558 head teachers will be appointed in the primary schools of the state. 8386 teachers will be appointed in secondary schools. It has also been said that a model high school will be set up in all the districts up to class 12th. Along with this, 4368 assistant professors will also be appointed in the state.
150 new ambulances will be bought, new medical colleges will open
Regarding the health sector, it has been said in the budget that the Bihar University of Health Sciences Act 2021 has been approved. MBBS studies in Purnea Medical College will start from the next academic session. An announcement has also been made to open new medical colleges in the state. 150 new ambulances will also be purchased. It has been said in the budget that a building of 1200 beds will be constructed for cancer patients in IGMC Patna.
Students will now be able to study in English in technical institutes
An announcement has also been made in the budget to set up Center of Excellence in State Polytechnic Institutes. Mega Skill Development Center will be set up in every district of the state. English will also be taught in all technical institutions. While presenting the budget, Tarkishore Prasad said that Bihar Medical, Engineering and Sports Institute will be set up. At the same time, degree colleges will be established in 18 sub-divisions of the state.
