Shivhar. The common people are troubled by the continuous increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG. In such a situation, people are now inventing various ways to stop their consumption. A similar solution is being seen in Sheohar district of Bihar, where a person working in the Electricity Department is collecting electricity bill by reaching village to village after riding a horse at home. Abhijeet Tiwari, a resident of Bishunpur Kishundev village of Sheohar, leaves his village in the morning every day and reaches the electricity consumers and pays the electricity bill and those who have to pay give it and then after depositing the money, come back to give them the receipt.
Tiwari says that the price of petrol has increased so much that it is difficult to travel by bike. He said that due to the increase in the price of petrol, it became difficult to ride a bike. There was a horse in the house, so now we go to work with it.
He said that the cost of petrol is more than twice that of a horse, so he is riding a horse. He told that there are six to seven villages in his area including Jafarpur, Mali, Pokharwinda.
When -AnyTV News asked him how long he would do this, he said that a horse costs Rs 60-70 a day. The price of petrol is increasing continuously, due to which the burden of the pocket has increased. 200 per day petrol is spent in electricity bill recovery. He said that when the budget supports, then he will go by bike again.
He said that because of having a horse at home, horse riding also comes, that is why he has left the bike and started riding the horse. This unique initiative of Abhijeet to save petrol remains a topic of discussion in the area.
It is noteworthy that Abhijeet is a Daily Wages employee in the Electricity Department, whose job is to issue electricity bills in the area.
In this regard, when the Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department, Shravan Kumar was asked, he said that he has also received this information, which is being ascertained. Well, this is a personal matter, anyone can go to collect electricity bill from any vehicle. He said that for the first time it has been seen that an employee is collecting electricity bill by riding on a horse. Although he also said that in my understanding the maintenance of a horse is more expensive than a bike.
