NDA has once again won in the MLC elections held on 24 seats in Bihar. More than half the seats have come in the account of NDA. NDA had got 13 seats in the results of 23 seats declared till 6 pm. RJD has won five seats. Independent candidates have won four seats. In NDA, BJP got seven, JDU five and Paras’ RLSP got one seat. Congress has also got one seat.
This time JDU had fielded candidates on 11 seats and BJP on 12 seats. The RJD had fielded 23 candidates. JD(U) has won Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Bhojpur, Sitamarhi and Bhagalpur seats. The BJP has won Purnia, Gopalganj, Rohtas, Samastipur, Aurangabad and Katihar. Hajipur seat has come in the account of Paras’ party RLSP. The RJD has taken over the capital Patna and Munger as well as P. Champaran, Gaya and Siwan have won seats. Congress has got Begusarai seat.
