Due to the rapid political developments in Bihar, Mukesh Sahni will no longer be a part of the state cabinet. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has recommended Governor Fagu Chauhan to remove him from the cabinet on the letter of BJP. According to the information, Raj Bhavan has received this recommendation of the Chief Minister on Sunday evening. The formality left for the Governor Chouhan to seal the proposal sent by the Chief Minister.
According to the information, the Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislature Party leader Tarkishore Prasad sent a letter to the CM on behalf of his party urging him to remove Mukesh Sahni from the state cabinet. It said that the three MLAs who were elected in the Bihar Assembly Elections, 2020 of Vikas Insaan Party (VIP) have now merged with the BJP. Also, VIP is no longer a part of NDA. After this letter from the BJP, the Chief Minister has recommended to the Governor to remove the VIP chief Sahni from the cabinet.
It is said that the removal of VIP chief Mukesh Sahni from the state cabinet was decided on March 20 itself. On this day in the evening, Union Minister of State for Home and senior leader of Bihar BJP Nityanand Rai met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. If reliable sources are to be believed, the vote regarding the party’s central leadership and state unit’s Mukesh Sahni was conveyed to the head of the government by Mr. Rai. After this, after the legislature session on March 23, BJP President Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi along with the three VIP MLAs Raju Singh, Swarna Singh and Mishrilal Yadav met Vidhansabha Speaker Vijay Sinha in his chamber. Letter of support was given. After this, the Speaker of the Assembly approved the merger of these three with the BJP. Late night, the three MLAs also joined the BJP.
Since the number of MLAs was zero, BJP was continuously demanding resignation from Mukesh Sahni on moral grounds. Many MLAs, including State President Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, even the minister of BJP quota in the government, advised them to resign through a statement given in the media. However, after a press conference on the morning of March 24, Sahni had announced that he would not resign and would continue working in the government. After this, a letter was written by the BJP to the Chief Minister on Sunday. It is known that Mukesh Sahni was on the target of BJP since that time for contesting against BJP in UP elections and continuously making remarks against BJP and Prime Minister.
