Patna. The counting of votes for the 24 seats of the local authority of the Bihar Legislative Council, held on Monday, is going on from 8 am on Thursday. Tight security arrangements have been made outside all the counting centers for the counting of votes. Meanwhile, now slowly the results are also showing. While RJD has lost Vaishali seat, BJP has retained its hold in Purnia. According to the information, Kartikeya Kumar of RJD has defeated Valmiki Singh of JDU from Patna.
NDA candidate Dilip Singh, who recently joined BJP, won Aurangabad by a margin of 284 votes. NDA candidate Dilip Singh got a total of 1798 votes, while RJD candidate Anuj Singh had to be satisfied with 1514 votes.
Here, RJD has lost its Vaishali seat. In Vaishali, NDA candidate Bhushan Rai defeated RJD’s outgoing MLC Subodh Rai.
The BJP has retained its hold on the Purnia-Araria-Kishanganj seat. NDA candidate Dr Dilip Jaiswal won from here. Dilip Jaiswal has won the election for the third time in a row. However, till now the results of many seats have not been officially announced. Counting of votes is still going on in many seats.
For the counting of votes, counting centers have been set up in 24 districts, where the votes cast in the respective areas are being counted.
For the counting of votes, 14 tables have been set up at all the counting centers.
The counting of votes is being done on the basis of preference votes as per the instructions of the Election Department.
It is noteworthy that the voting for all these seats was held on Monday. There was enthusiasm among the voters about this election, due to which more than 98 percent voters had reached the polling station to exercise their franchise.
It is worth noting that the process of counting of votes is completely different from that of assembly elections.
The reputation of both the ruling and opposition alliances is at stake in this election. In this election, while RJD has entered the electoral fray with Left parties, BJP and JDU are trying their luck together. Congress is in the fray alone.
