State Health Minister K. Sudhakaran said on Thursday that the Supreme Court has already given directions in this matter. Noise pollution is also an aspect in the loudspeakers installed during the Azaan. At the same time, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi’s statement has also come on the issue related to loudspeakers in mosques in Karnataka. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that there are rules regarding noise pollution, there are also laws. There is no need to give any kind of communal color to it. The rules and regulations that are there should be obeyed by all.
At the same time, Karnataka Police has issued an internal circular to initiate action against noise pollution in religious institutions and other places, amid demands to stop loudspeakers in mosques.
