Palghar. In Maharashtra’s Palghar district, police have arrested 25 people for renting out premises to foreign nationals without following the rules. An official gave this information on Thursday.
He said the property owners had given their premises to foreigners for residential and commercial purposes in Tulinj police station area in Nalasopara (East) on the outskirts of Mumbai.
According to an official release, in such cases the owners will have to inform the police within 24 hours of renting out their premises. According to existing laws, action can be taken against those who do not follow the rules.
The officer said that despite repeated explanations and warnings about the rules, the property owners did not follow the rules.
