When and how many accounts were banned?
WhatsApp has taken strict action against more than 2 crore accounts and banned them by the month of March this year i.e. 2024. Let us tell you about it in detail.
According to the report released by the company, WhatsApp banned about 67,28,000 accounts between January 1 and January 31. In the month of February, this company owned by Meta banned 76,54,000 accounts. In the month of March, the company took action against 79,54000 accounts.
In this way, the company has banned a total of 22,310,000 accounts in India from January 1, 2024 to March 31, 2024. WhatsApp said that out of the total banned accounts, about 1,430,000 accounts were banned before users reported them. The company said that it had received 5 reports from the Grievance Appellate Committee i.e. GSC from March 1, 2024 to March 31, 2024.
