Raipur (State Bureau). Jhiram case probe: In Jhiram case, the High Court has given permission to the state government to investigate. Due to this, the political temperature of the state has started rising again regarding this issue. The BJP has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and State Excise Minister Kawasi Lakhma. Welcoming the court’s decision, BJP MLA and former minister Ajay Chandrakar has asked whether the state agency will be able to interrogate the Chief Minister and the minister if the agency investigates?
Ajay Chandrakar said, Kawasi Lakhma eyewitness
The BJP’s reasoning behind demanding the resignation of the CM and the minister is that the minister is an eyewitness to Lakhma. Lakhma was also present when the Naxalites attacked the Congress convoy in Jhiram Valley. At the same time, Chief Minister Baghel has been saying continuously since the incident that he has strong evidence regarding the incident. Congress has been calling this incident a political conspiracy. BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar argues that in such a situation, the state agency will have to interrogate the Chief Minister and the minister during its investigation. Chandrakar said that that is why both of them should resign before the state starts the investigation. With this the state agency will be able to interrogate both the leaders without any pressure.
Congress admits political conspiracy
Congress considers the attack on the convoy of Congress leaders in Jhiram Valley as a political conspiracy. In this incident, about 29 leaders including the then state Congress president Nand Kumar Patel, former Leader of Opposition Mahendra Karma, former MLA Uday Mudaliar and Patel’s son were killed. Former Union Minister Vidyachara Shukla, who was injured in the incident, also died later during treatment. For this reason Congress considers it a political conspiracy. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that political conspiracy has not been investigated in the investigations conducted so far.
Proposal for investigation was sent to CBI
On the demand of the Congress, the previous BJP government had also sent a proposal to the CBI to investigate the matter, but the bureau refused to investigate.
SIT also in first three decisions of Congress government
The first three decisions taken by the Congress government after coming to power in the state included the formation of an SIT to investigate Jhiram. The Home Department issued an order in this regard on January 2, 2019. In this, the then Bastar IG Vivekananda was made the head of the SIT. The team with him included the then DIG Naxal Operation and the current Bastar IG P. Sundar Raj (DIG Naxal Operation) along with ML Kotwani, Gayatri Singh, Rajeev Sharma, Ashish Shukla, Premlal Sahu, Narendra Sharma, AN Chaturvedi, Dr. MK Verma. it was done.
SIT will be reconstituted
According to the officials of the Home Department, many officers involved in the SIT formed three years ago have retired.
Huh. For this reason the SIT will have to be reconstituted. A decision in this regard will be taken after the return of Chief Minister Baghel, who is on an election tour of Uttar Pradesh.
