New Delhi . In view of next year’s assembly elections in Rajasthan, BJP has started reaching out to the people of the state living in other parts of the country. As part of an outreach programme, Rajasthan BJP President Satish Poonia has started meeting people of Rajasthan living in other states through ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Sammelan’. Such programs have been organized in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and will also be organized in other states where people of Rajasthan live.
A Rajasthan BJP leader said, “Through these outreach programmes, we are not only reaching out to the ‘diaspora’, but they are also getting an opportunity to connect with their roots in Rajasthan. They are also getting the BJP’s plan for the state. There is also an opportunity to understand. The program also provides an opportunity to raise our concerns and demands as a community.”
A senior BJP functionary told -AnyTV News that a large number of Rajasthani population is present in many states of the country and a large number of their names are still registered in the electoral list of Rajasthan.
“A large population of people from the state residing in other parts of the country and most of them who have transferred Aadhaar in recent times are enrolled in the electoral rolls in Rajasthan. At the time of elections, they come back to exercise their franchise. The idea is to reach out to the people of Rajasthan and their families living in other states and encourage them to vote for the BJP in the next year’s assembly elections.”
Rajasthan assembly elections will be held at the end of 2023.
Another senior functionary said that the party has started working on several fronts for next year’s assembly elections in Rajasthan.
