New Delhi. After intense brainstorming, the BJP leadership on Sunday released its fifth list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. With the release of this list, three women candidates are being discussed. By giving tickets to these women, BJP has prepared to contest for the opposition on 3 Lok Sabha seats of the country. These three women are Pallavi Dempo of Goa. Rekha Patra of West Bengal and famous actor Kangana Ranaut of Himachal Pradesh.
First let’s talk about Rekha Patra. BJP leadership has given ticket to Rekha Patra from Basirhat seat of West Bengal. Rekha Patra came into limelight in recent times when she first raised her voice against TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh. Rekha Patra accused Shahjahan Sheikh of land grabbing and sexual harassment of the women of Sandeshkhali. She united the women and started a movement against Shahjahan Sheikh. By giving ticket to Rekha Patra, BJP has shown that it is standing with the women of Sandeshkhali and is working to raise the voices of protest against the atrocities of TMC leaders in Bengal.
Now let’s talk about Pallavi Dempo. BJP has given ticket to Pallavi Dempo from Goa South seat. For the first time in Goa, BJP has fielded a woman in the Lok Sabha elections. Pallavi Dempo is an industrialist. She is the Executive Director of Dempo Industries. Pallavi Dempo, who has an MBA degree from MIT Pune, also looks after media and real estate. He has also adopted the government school. BJP has been able to win the South Goa Lok Sabha seat only twice. This time he is expected to win this seat through Pallavi.
Kangana Ranaut’s name is also in the fifth list of BJP as a candidate for Mandi parliamentary seat of Himachal Pradesh. She is a famous Bollywood actress. Kangana Ranaut is known for her outspoken tongue and has consistently expressed her opinion for Hindutva. Kangana’s great grandfather has also been an MLA from an assembly seat in Mandi district on Congress ticket. The Mandi seat from where Kangana Ranaut has been fielded is dominated by former Congress leader Virbhadra Singh and his wife Pratibha Singh. Virbhadra and Pratibha Singh have won the Mandi seat 3 times each. This time Pratibha Singh has decided not to contest elections from here.
