BJP is busy in sharpening the preparations to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time in 2024, in this regard, brainstorming is being done on the selection of candidates in BJP. A BJP core group meeting was held at the party headquarters on Monday in which the names of Lok Sabha candidates from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Haryana, Odisha, Sikkim, Maharashtra and Gujarat were discussed. BJP National President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah and party’s Organization General Secretary BL Santosh were present in the meeting. In the meeting, first of all the seats of UP were discussed, the names of candidates for the remaining 25 seats of BJP quota were brainstormed. This time the party can give ticket to Maneka Gandhi from Rae Bareli seat. At the same time, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh’s ticket may be cut from Kaiserganj seat. Varun Gandhi and Santosh Gangwar’s ticket from Bareilly may also be canceled.
UP has the maximum number of 80 Lok Sabha seats. BJP has set a target of winning all 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state. To achieve this goal, BJP does not want to leave any stone unturned in preparing the election strategy and selecting the candidates.
Whose luck will open in the third list?
Three seats of Haryana were also discussed in the BJP core group meeting. If sources are to be believed, this time BJP is going to give a chance to Yogeshwar Dutt from Sonipat, whereas, BJP has offered Sonipat seat to actor Randeep Hooda but he has refused to contest the elections. In such a situation, if Randeep Hooda does not contest the elections, then BJP can give ticket to the sitting MP. From Kurukshetra, BJP is going to field Shalu Jindal, wife of former Congress MP Naveen Jindal.
These giants may be wiped out
In UP, the tickets of senior BJP party leaders and MPs Varun Gandhi, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Maneka Gandhi, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, General VK Singh, Santosh Gangwar, Ramapati Ram Tripathi, Sanghamitra Maurya, and Satyadev Pachauri are expected to be cut. However, supporters of the MPs on these seats are giving their own arguments. He believes that MPs will benefit from the delay in ticket distribution. Some leaders are also claiming that there is no change in the seat tickets.

The meeting was attended by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Uttar Pradesh BJP State President Bhupendra Chaudhary and Rajasthan State Chief Ministers. President CP Joshi and other important leaders of the core committee of these states attended the meetings held separately state-wise.
BJP’s third list final!
In the first list of its candidates, BJP had announced the names of its candidates on 51 seats in UP, 20 seats in West Bengal and 15 seats in Rajasthan. At the same time, the party had declared names of 20 candidates from Maharashtra and 6 from Haryana in its second list. The party had announced the names of 15 candidates from Gujarat in its first list and 7 candidates in the second list. The names of the candidates for the remaining seats in these states are yet to be finalized. Talking about Odisha, talks regarding alliance with BJD are still going on in this state. Both the parties have agreed in principle to come together several days ago, but talks are still going on on the seat sharing formula.
