Lakhisarai. Five to six people were injured in an explosion on Monday in Pipariya police station area of Lakhisarai district of Bihar. The condition of the injured is stated to be out of danger.
A police official said that a bomb exploded in Walipur village under Pipariya police station area, in which five to six people were injured. The people of the area are in panic after the incident. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital with the help of villagers.
Pipariya station in-charge Dilip Kumar said that some people including a child were standing near the house of Mahendra Rajak, a resident of Walipur village, on Monday, when a child mistook the bomb kept there as a toy and picked up the bomb, then it exploded. He said that five to six people were injured in the incident.
All the injured have been admitted to a local hospital, where their condition is stated to be out of danger. Where the bomb came from is being investigated.
It is noteworthy that in the past, more than a dozen people died in blasts in Bhagalpur and Gopalganj. It is said that the work of making firecrackers was done in these houses.
