Rumors of an alliance were recently quashed by BSP national president Mayawati, who reiterated her decision to contest the elections independently. He stressed that it is strategically important for BSP to contest the elections alone in the interest of Bahujan Samaj. BSP is fully prepared to contest the general elections with strength and vigor. Therefore, the rumors about an electoral alliance or a third front are baseless and false. Mayawati urged the media not to jeopardize its credibility by spreading such mischievous news. He advised people to remain alert. The BSP’s decision to contest elections independently in Uttar Pradesh has unsettled its opponents due to the party’s considerable strength in the state.
