Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced in the Budget 2022 to conduct the auction of spectrum required to start 5G mobile service this year. Users will get it on 5G network by the end of this year or early next year. For your information, let us tell you that the country’s leading telecom companies have got permission for 5G trial. The 5G trial will first take place in 13 major cities of the country, including cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that work will be done to provide cheap broadband and mobile service in rural areas. Along with this, 5 percent USO (Universal obligation services fund) fund will be given annually. Along with this, employment will also increase. Apart from this, 5G model based production linked incentive scheme (PLI) will be announced soon.
5G testing is going on in these cities:
According to media reports, 5G testing is going on in big cities of the country like Mumbai, Pune, Gujarat, Delhi and Gurugram. Firstly, Jio is planning to release 5G network in 1000 big and small cities of the country soon. Apart from this, the area where there is more data consumption is being identified. For this, the company is using 3D maps and ray tracing technology.

Let us tell you that in the year 2021, Vodafone Idea had achieved 4.2Gbps speed on 5G network. This 5G trial was done in Pune and this speed was found on 26 GHz spectrum band.
