On the first day of the budget session in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, TMC has come out in protest against the uproar by BJP. In this case, four Trinamool Congress MLAs have moved a breach of privilege motion against the BJP leaders. According to information received from sources, a day earlier, BJP leaders created a ruckus in the assembly during the budget session. Regarding which four TMC MLAs Shashi Panja, Chandrima Bhattacharya, Asima Patra and Siuli Saha brought a breach of privilege motion on Tuesday.
These four MLAs submitted personal letters to Assembly Speaker Viman Banerjee, in which a breach of privilege motion was moved against the MLAs of the saffron camp. In fact, BJP MLAs led by Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari disrupted the proceedings of the House on the first day of the budget session over alleged violence in the recently concluded municipal elections.
Due to the uproar by BJP MLAs, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar could not read his address and laid it on the Table of the House.
One of the four MLAs who moved the resolution said that we cannot remain silent after what the BJP leaders did on Monday i.e. yesterday. He said that when the whole world is celebrating Women’s Day, they badly pushed us inside the House and that was nothing short of harassment.
