The wait for the bullet train in India is over. Bullet train will be seen running in India from the year 2027. The first bullet train station will be inaugurated in Surat next year in 2023. National High Speed Rail Corridor (NHSRCL) Chairman and Managing Director Satish Agnihotri has said that the trial run of the bullet train between Surat and Bilimora will start in 2026 and the bullet train service will start for the people from 2027. The distance from Surat to Bilimora is fifty kilometers, on which the first bullet train will run. According to NHSRCL officials, 12 stations of bullet train between Bapi, Bilimora, Surat and Baruch will be ready by 2024.
According to officials, apart from these four stations, 237 km of track is being prepared for which different types of bridges and supporting columns are being built. According to Japanese diplomat Satoshi Suzuki, ‘Our priority is to complete this route and start the bullet train. Japan has promised to provide its maintenance and updated technology. We will give India our latest technology ES Shinkansen better than Japan. Keeping in mind the climate and pollution, we will give an advanced version of our technology to India.
According to officials, work is going on to make 125 km long Piles, Piles Cap, Open Foundation, Well Foundation, Pires, Pires Cap for the bullet train project. Out of 128 foundations, 118 foundations have been made at Surat depot. Apart from this, by August this year, Sabarmati Integrated High Speed Rail, Metro, Bus Rapid Transport, Passenger Terminal Hub and two railway stations will be ready.
Some coaches of the first bullet train will be brought by ship, while some coaches will be made by connecting here in India. According to Satish Agnihotri, this technology will be based on the Crash Avoidance System which will have the latest signals. The design of the coach will be kept in such a way that this train is accident free. The bullet train will be able to run at a speed of 320 kilometers per hour. Bullet train will operate between Ahmedabad-Mumbai. The 508-km-long line will have 12 stations, of which eight will be in Gujarat and four in Maharashtra.
