However, Volkswagen has also indicated that it will introduce a limited edition of the Polo to celebrate its long existence in India. The company’s Brand Managing Director Ashish Gupta said that “It’s not goodbye to Polo, it’s revoir (bye till we meet again)”. This statement leads us to believe that the company plans to bring in the sixth generation Polo in the coming years. Although no official announcement has been made on its launch timeline.
Price is so much with two engines
Currently, this hatchback is available in four trims (Trendline, Comfortline, Highline Plus and GT) across the model lineup, with prices ranging from Rs 6.45 lakh to Rs 10.45 lakh. It has four automatic variants, which are priced between Rs 8.93 lakh and Rs 10.25 lakh.

As engine, the Polo hatchback comes with two engine options including 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol (75PS/95Nm), 1.0 turbocharged petrol (110PS/175Nm). Its transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed automatic. Apart from this, Volkswagen will present its upcoming Vertus mid-size sedan on 8 March 2022.
