Edutech company Byju Has suffered another big blow. Now Arjun Mohan, who was made the CEO of edtech firm Byju’s seven months ago, has resigned from the company. The company gave this information on Monday. After Mohan’s resignation, company co-founder and CEO Byju Raveendran will handle the day-to-day operations of the company. The cash-strapped edtech company had promoted Mohan as CEO of its Indian operations in September last year.
Company limited to three areas
Raveendran said Mohan led the company through challenging times. We are grateful to him. The company has now limited its business to The Learning App, online classes and tuition centers and test-prep. The company said that each of these units will be operated by different people. According to Raveendran, this restructuring marks the beginning of Byju’s 3.0.
Ravindran will handle the day-to-day operations
Byju Raveendran, founder of education technology company Think & Learn, will handle the day-to-day operations of the company. This decision was taken after the resignation of the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arjun Mohan. Think & Learn owns the Byju’s brand. Byju Raveendran will take a more hands-on approach to drive the day-to-day operations of the company, the company said in a statement on Monday. Mohan will now play the role of an external advisor. He will use his expertise in education technology to guide the company and its founders through this phase of transformation.
