Rajnandgaon (Naiduniya News). Various events were organized in the district on the occasion of World Hearing Day to control diseases related to ear (ear). Check-up camps were organized in all the health centers of the district. Along with starting the Karna Awareness Week, a chariot has also been taken out for public awareness in the urban area, which was flagged off by the Chief Medical and Health Officer.
World Hearing Day is celebrated every year on 3 March with the aim of creating awareness among the people about ear care and problems related to ear. On this occasion, people are given information about the treatment and prevention of diseases related to ear. This awareness program in the district was organized by Chief Medical and Health Officer No. Started under the guidance of Mithlesh Choudhary, which will run till March 10. In the episode of World Hearing Day program, ear screening will be done for seven days in the district hospital, in which specialist doctors will provide services.
Hearing aids also provided
It was told that through the Awareness Rath, people in urban areas would be made aware about the symptoms of ear diseases and its treatment. On the first day of the awareness week also, the ears of the patients were examined free of cost by holding a camp here. During this, free of cost medical advice and medicines were provided to the patients of all age groups as well as hearing aids as per the requirement. Apart from this, an awareness chariot was flagged off from the office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer, which was flagged off by CMHO Dr. Mithilesh Chaudhary. On this occasion Assistant Nodal Officer Dr. Pranay Shukla, District Advisor of Non-Communicable Disease Cell Vikas Rathore and District Financial Advisor Thames Verma were present along with others.
Will provide facility of cochlear implant
Nodal Officer Dr. BL Tulavi informed that under the National Program for Prevention and Control of Deafness, ear problems will be screened for ear problems in the district hospital. Also, such children who are suffering from deafness since birth, they will be provided the facility of cochlear implant through a scheme run by the Chhattisgarh government. Referral arrangements have also been made for serious and very serious patients found during screening. They will also be followed up regularly. In order to provide better treatment in the district, ENT nose, ear and throat specialist and audiologist unit from the state level have been trained as per the guidelines of the programmes.
