Jaipur. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has directed the removal of SP Anil Kumar of Dausa district, suspension of Lalsot SHO and APO to the circle officer in the case of suicide by a female doctor in Lalsot, Dausa. Divisional commissioner Dinesh Kumar Yadav will conduct an administrative inquiry into the matter.
Gehlot gave these instructions in a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday evening. It was decided in the meeting that strict action should be taken by registering a case against those who forced the woman doctor to commit suicide in this incident. The Chief Minister has directed to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Home to prevent recurrence of such incidents and to give necessary suggestions. In this committee, government secretary medical and health, government secretary medical education, senior officers and doctors of police and law departments will be included. This committee will study all the legal aspects and present a guideline, which will be implemented across the state.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Expressing deep grief over the incident of suicide by Archana Sharma, she said that doctors have been given equal status to God in the society. They do everything possible to save the lives of the patients. Despite this, many times it is not justified to unnecessarily blame the doctor for the untoward incident. If this happens then how will the doctor be able to fulfill his responsibility with complete dedication.
Gehlot said that during the COVID epidemic, doctors and nursing workers had provided health services to the people without caring for their lives. This type of treatment cannot be tolerated by such doctors.
