Chandigarh. On one hand, while former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is making caste census a political issue in the Lok Sabha elections, now veteran party leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda has expressed his disagreement over the statement of former Congress President on caste census. In fact, former Haryana Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda, while talking to the media, said that Congress is a party of 36 communities and it never does caste-based politics. There is no place for casteism and casteist mentality in Congress. In such a situation, questions are now being raised whether Bhupendra Singh Hooda has also followed the path of former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Anand Sharma.
On the question of journalists about many parties joining the ‘India’ alliance, Bhupendra Singh Hooda clarified that 33 parties have visited the Congress headquarters in Delhi and offered to support the ‘India’ alliance from outside. As far as Haryana is concerned, there is no question of Democracy Suraksha Party or its chief Rajkumar Saini joining Congress. Neither has he joined Congress nor is he a member of Congress. The talk of any non-Congress leader contesting elections from Congress is just a rumour.
Congress is contesting Lok Sabha elections with full strength
On the change of Chief Minister by BJP in the state, Hooda said that changing the face of the CM will not make any difference because now the time has come to change the government. He had also said this in the Assembly. He said that Congress is contesting the Lok Sabha elections with full strength, which will yield good results. After that the party is fully prepared for the assembly elections also. The public has made up its mind about change in the state. This time it is certain that Congress will form the government. After the formation of the party government, farmers will be given the benefit of MSP guarantee and loan waiver. Apart from this, pension of six thousand rupees will be given to the elderly, old pension scheme to government employees and up to 300 units of free electricity will be given to all the families.

Congress candidates announced after Holi
On the selection of Lok Sabha candidates, former Haryana CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that there will be a meeting of the screening committee and CEC after Holi. The names of the candidates will be announced soon after that. He also raised questions on BJP breaking alliance with JJP. The contradiction is clearly visible in the statements of Rahul Gandhi and Bhupendra Singh Hooda regarding caste politics. On one hand, from Rahul Gandhi’s statements it seems that he is making backward people and Dalits a part of his politics. If we believe the statements of Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Congress does not believe in things like caste in politics.
