Jaipur . CBI has arrested the absconding accused resident of District Dausa (Rajasthan) from Malwas, District Dausa. He was absconding since 2008 in two cases related to wildlife crimes.
CBI registered two cases on 30.06.2005 on the request of Government of Rajasthan and notification of Government of India and took over the investigation of these cases, which was filed by the Forest Department, Sariska in the First Information Report No.-11/93. and was filed under 45/91.
The first case was registered on the allegation that in the year 2004, the accused killed a tigress in the forest of Kali Ghati, Ghanka, Sariska (Rajasthan) near ‘Kala Kund’ by using a topisar gun and an iron net. . He took out the skin of the tigress and sold it for Rs.50,000/-. sold in The second case was registered on the allegation that in the year 2003, the accused killed a male leopard in the year 2003 at Kali Ka Dhaba, Bighauta forest, Alwar (Rajasthan) by using gun, iron net and skinned it at Rs. 1800/-. . sold in Both the accused were evading their appearance before the court of ACJM in Jaipur. The accused were shown as Proclaimed Offenders and non-bailable warrants were issued against them during the year 2008. One of the accused was arrested and convicted in the year 2019. The second accused was evading arrest. Due to continuous and sustained efforts, the said accused was traced and arrested.
The arrested accused was produced in the court of ACJM, Jaipur and sent to judicial custody.
