Raipur (Naiduniya Representative). Discussion was going on in the registry office of Raipur. A person who came from outside said to an officer, this is wrong sir! At first, the government reduced the registration fee of land by up to 40 percent. Now along with this, the annual target for the registration offices has also been increased. Now tell me, is this wrong being done with the registration officers or not? The officer smiled and said – it is not wrong, says the management.
Earlier there was a discount of 30 percent
The government increased the number of registries by reducing the registry rates. In the Corona era, where people were working to save money. Such people are also now buying land to take advantage of the exemption. The official clarified, by giving exemption, the government got the number increased. They said – we have no problem. The government has increased the target limit for Raipur by 10 crores. We have also achieved 90% of the target. At present there are 22 working days in the month of March. The goal will be achieved easily.
Registry increased by exemption
The announcement of 40 percent discount in the registry is also being given a analogy like two hunts with one arrow. Since this announcement, people are flocking to get the registry done. Since the discount is only till the month of March. In such a situation, there is a possibility of maximum registration in this month. In this way, the state government had earlier set an annual target of Rs 1650 crore for revenue from registration offices before the exemption. After relaxation, this target was increased by 50 crores. The interesting thing is that all the registration offices of the state including Raipur have almost reached the position of fulfilling this goal.
Understand the mathematics of profit like this
Think of it like this. Suppose if you want to buy a thousand square feet of land without discount. If the collector guideline rate of this land is Rs 500 sq ft, then at the rate of the guide line, it will be charged 6.25 percent stamp duty of Rs 5 lakh. That is, for this you will have to buy a stamp of 31 thousand 250 rupees. Now after a discount of 40 percent, on the purchase of the same land, according to 6.25 percent, only 18 thousand 750 stamps will have to be purchased. In this way 12 thousand 500 rupees are being saved.
Annual target reached 92.06 percent
Raipur Registration Department has achieved its annual target of 92.06 percent. This year the department is progressing by 47.75 percent as compared to last year. The government had given a target of 5 billion 75 crores to Raipur. Against this, the department has so far received an income of 5 billion 20 crores.
