Due to this effect, light rain is expected in different areas of the state on Tuesday. However, there will be no significant effect in the maximum and minimum temperatures. The Meteorological Department says that this change in the weather is happening due to the cyclical cyclone.
The weather across the state including Raipur remained dry on Monday. Now the cold has ended and the heat is on the rise. The Meteorological Department says that the maximum temperature is likely to reach 35 to 36 degree Celsius in the coming two weeks. With this, the maximum temperature can reach 40 degree Celsius in the last week of March. The Meteorological Department says that now the heat will only increase.
On Monday, Raipur recorded a maximum temperature of 34.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 19.0 degrees Celsius. The maximum and minimum temperatures were normal here. The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at Balrampur at 8.8 degrees Celsius.
This year it was quite cold in the whole of February. Its effect was seen in the hot cloth market. The warm clothing business this year was up by 25 per cent as compared to the previous years. Meteorologists say that summer will also be good this year.
Bilaspur hottest
Bilaspur was the hottest in the state. The maximum temperature recorded here was 35.2 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 17.2 degrees Celsius, which was one degree Celsius below normal.
