A woman found chained around her neck at a camp in Jiangsu province had been a victim of sexual abuse for years. During this malpractice-torture, she gave birth to eight children. The Chinese authorities did not show any interest in getting justice for these victims and on the contrary tried to suppress their cases. Even posts related to them were removed from China’s social media.
China has the most serious and largest network of human trafficking. In 2016, the number of missing people in China was more than 3.9 million, while in 2020 it was 1 million. According to a US report, most of the missing people are women and they are from the minority community. Their risk of smuggling is highest.
Women became victims of one child policy
Women were the most victims of the one child policy implemented in China in the 1980s. Due to this the situation has become such that there are 3 million more men than the number of women in China. Due to this the cases of exploitation and trafficking of women have increased.
