Ranchi/Giridih. Politics is at a boil regarding the Gandey by-election of Jharkhand. Gandeya assembly seat is vacant after the resignation of JMM MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed. Whereas BJP has announced its candidate. BJP has decided to field Dilip Verma from Gandey seat. JMM-Congress alliance has not yet announced the name of the candidate.
But, Kalpana Soren, wife of former CM Hemant Soren, has a strong possibility of being the Grand Alliance candidate from Gandey seat and has emerged as a strong face in Gandey. It is noteworthy that the by-election in Gandeya Assembly is to be held on May 20. The main contest here is between NDA and India alliance.
BJP-AJSU face to face
Differences continue in the NDA regarding the Gandey by-election. BJP-AJSU are face to face regarding this seat. AJSU looks upset after the announcement of the candidate’s name by BJP. AJSU has raised questions on BJP. AJSU says that the candidate announced by BJP is not a member of NDA. Lambodar Mahato has said that the decision will be taken after sensing the mood of the voters.

It is noteworthy that voting will be held in Gandey on 20th May. After this the results will come on June 4. Dilip Verma has been fielded by BJP. Arjun Baitha had called BJP candidate Dilip Verma an ineligible candidate. Not only this, he had also talked about contesting elections on this seat.

MLA Lambodar Mahato, who reached the residence of party leader Sanjay Sahu in Giridih, said that on the question of BJP declaring a candidate for the Gandey Assembly by-election and making a claim on behalf of AJSU, he also said that the matter of Gandey Assembly will be discussed in the AJSU Parliamentary Party meeting.
