Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that he discussed with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar about actively developing Russia-India-China trilateral mechanism in the interest of stabilizing international relations and ensuring ‘equity in international affairs’ . Lavrov left for Moscow on Friday after his two-day visit to India.
In Delhi, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, crude oil offers and arms deals with Jaishankar.
Lavrov apprised the Prime Minister of the situation in Ukraine, including the ongoing peace talks.
Modi reiterated his call for an early end to the violence and conveyed India’s readiness to contribute in any way to the peace efforts.
