Elections are going to be held in Himachal Pradesh later this year and before that the question is being raised about Congress whether it will allow the story of Punjab to repeat here too. In Punjab, the Congress had to face a crushing defeat against the Aam Aadmi Party due to infighting and in the neighboring state of Himachal, it is also going through a state of dilemma regarding leadership. On the one hand, the Aam Aadmi Party is trying to make a strong entry in the state, while the BJP is hoping to return to power for the first time. In such a situation, the Congress is currently beyond discussion and if this situation continues, then it can prove to be a weak player.
Arvind Kejriwal has done a road show in the first week of April in Mandi district. Apart from this, BJP has organized programs across the state on the occasion of its foundation day on 6th April. Now both the parties are preparing for the next round, under which BJP President JP Nadda is going to hold a road show at Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra district on April 22. Apart from this, Arvind Kejriwal is also going to hold a rally in Kangra itself on 23 April. At the same time, the Congress party has not been able to solve the question of leadership of the state unit itself. On one hand, Vikramaditya Singh, son of Virbhadra Singh is busy presenting his claim, while on the other hand the faction of Kaul Singh Thakur is also active, who comes from Mandi, the district of CM Jai Ram Thakur.
AAP has hope from these leaders, has not declared CM
In Himachal Pradesh, the Third Front got an opportunity to form the government only in 1998, when former Union Minister Sukh Ram formed a coalition government with the BJP. But this Himachal Vikas Congress did not last much and in the next election it finally merged with Congress, while some leaders went to BJP. This time the Aam Aadmi Party is hopeful that it can get some success in the name of third option in the state with two party system. Even though the Aam Aadmi Party has not declared any leader as the CM face, but it is trying to reach out to the rebels of BJP and Congress. Apart from this, the Aam Aadmi Party also wants to bet on some prominent socially active names.
Why AAP’s activism is making BJP happy
However, this election looks like a relief to the Aam Aadmi Party as well as the BJP. It is believed that the voter of BJP sticks with him. In such a situation, the activism of the Aam Aadmi Party can make a dent in the votes of the Congress and this situation will be beneficial for the BJP, which for the first time is trying to come to power for the second time in a row. At present, the Congress is neither in a position to declare any leader as the CM face nor is it trying to express under whose leadership it will enter the election season.
