New Delhi: Congress party is going to release its election manifesto today. This manifesto of Congress will be based on five ‘justice’ and 25 ‘guarantees’. Party president Mallikarjun Kharge and general secretary Rahul Gandhi will release the manifesto at the Congress headquarters. On April 6, public meetings related to the manifesto will be organized in Jaipur and Hyderabad in which top leaders of the party will participate.
Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Rahul Gandhi and general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will address the manifesto-related rally organized in Jaipur. Rahul Gandhi will address the public meeting regarding the manifesto in Hyderabad. According to the Congress, its manifesto will be based on the party’s five principles of justice – ‘Shareholder Justice’, ‘Kisan Justice’, ‘Women’s Justice’, ‘Labour Justice’ and ‘Youth Justice’.

The five guarantees that the party has talked about under ‘Youth Justice’ include the promise of providing 30 lakh government jobs and giving Rs 1 lakh to the youth under the apprenticeship program for one year. The party has given a ‘guarantee’ to conduct caste census under ‘shared justice’ and remove the 50 percent limit of reservation. Under ‘Kisan Nyay’, he has promised legal status to Minimum Support Price (MSP), formation of loan waiver commission and GST-free farming.
Under ‘Labor Justice’, Congress has promised to provide right to health to workers, ensure minimum wage of Rs 400 per day and urban employment guarantee. It has made many promises under ‘Nari Nyay’ including giving Rs 1 lakh per year to women from poor families under the ‘Mahalakshmi’ guarantee. (input language)
