New Delhi. All the parties have started preparing for their final campaign for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. The Congress party will release its manifesto on April 5, followed by mega rallies in Jaipur and Hyderabad the next day. Top leaders including Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will participate in the rally. According to the Congress, their manifesto will be based on five principles: ‘Participatory Justice’, ‘Farmers’ Justice’, ‘Women’s Justice’, ‘Workers’ Justice’ and ‘Youth Justice’.
Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal wrote, “After extensive consultations with people across the country, the Congress will release its vision document, manifesto, on April 5 at the All India Congress Committee headquarters. After this, we will organize two massive rallies in Jaipur and Hyderabad on April 6. “We have always been focused on presenting the country with a progressive, development-oriented approach, which will be reflected in this election as well.”
Congress has made several promises under the categories ‘Youth Justice’, ‘Farmers Justice’ and ‘Labor Justice’. This includes offering 30 lakh government jobs and providing a training program worth Rs 1 lakh for youth under ‘Youth Justice’. Under ‘Participatory Justice’, Congress promises to conduct caste census and remove the limit of 50 percent reservation. For ‘farmer justice’, Congress promises to enact a law on minimum support price, set up a debt relief commission and ensure GST-free farming.
Under ‘Labour Justice’, the Congress promises to provide health rights to labourers, ensure a minimum wage of Rs 400 per day and guarantee urban employment. Under ‘Women’s Justice’, the promises include the ‘Mahalakshmi’ guarantee providing Rs 1 lakh per year to women from poor families, among others.
