New Delhi. The strings of anti-CAA riots in Delhi are also connecting with the violence in Jahangirpuri yesterday. According to sources, 300 women were taken to Chandbagh during the anti-CAA violence during the Delhi riots from the place where the violence took place in Jahangirpuri. Meanwhile, the question is arising as to where did the perpetrators of the violence get the stone and glass bottles. On this, the police say that the violators had picked up the glass bottles from a nearby junk warehouse. Whereas, investigation is being done about collecting stones.
Apart from this, the police are also shocked to see swords and other sharp weapons in the hands of the perpetrators of violence in this area. This is being considered as a weakness of the system of the Intelligence Unit. It is being told that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has sought a report from Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana on every aspect of the violence. Shah has sought to know sequentially as to why there was a lapse on the part of Delhi Police in arresting the perpetrators of violence in advance. Rakesh Asthana is considered to be a sharp-tempered police officer. In such a situation, the incident of Jahangirpuri is raising questions on his career as well.
After the violence in Jahangirpuri, 6 company forces have been deployed in sensitive areas. There is police everywhere. For now, there is peace here. Six policemen and a civilian have been reported injured in the incident. The police has arrested 10 people so far and is preparing to take action by identifying the rest of the rioters through CCTV. 10 teams of Special Branch have been deployed to investigate the violence on the orders of the Commissioner of Police.
