According to doctors, Lalu’s kidney is not working 80 percent. His creatine level was 4.1 about 10 days ago, which has now increased to 4.6. In view of his deteriorating health, the doctors of RIMS had continuously increased the dosage of medicines given for other diseases including BP and sugar, but even after this his health is continuously deteriorating.
Lalu Prasad Yadav had been undergoing treatment for several months in judicial custody in RIMS after being sentenced in other fodder scam cases. He was admitted to AIIMS in November last year on complaints of fever and weakness.
Here, RK Rana, another convicted in the fodder scam, has also deteriorated and he has also been referred to AIIMS Delhi by RIMS. Rana’s lungs are constantly filling with water, due to which the infection is spreading all over the body. At present, he is kept on ventilator for better health. RK Rana was brought to RIMS from Birsa Munda Central Jail Hotwar on March 15 for treatment.
