Yogi Adityanath, who is going to take oath as Chief Minister for the second consecutive time in Uttar Pradesh, has been sent a notice from the Mau court. This notice has been sent to him in the case of calling Bajrangbali a Dalit. Mau resident Naval Kishore Sharma, while filing a complaint in this case, had accused him of hurting religious sentiments. District and Sessions Judge Rameshwar has fixed April 26 for the next hearing of the matter.
Naval Kishore Sharma, resident of Bhagwanpura town Dohrighat of Dohrighat police station area, had filed a complaint in the court of Special Magistrate MP MLA Court Shweta Chaudhary. In this, the Chief Minister of the state Ajay Bisht alias Yogi Adityanath was made an accused.
Naval Kishor said in the complaint that Yogi Adityanath, while addressing a rally during the assembly elections on November 28, 2018 at Malkheda in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, had said that Bajrang Bali was a Banavasi, a Girivasi and a Dalit. According to Naval Kishore, his statement has hurt the religious sentiments of the complainant and those who believe in Bajrangbali.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate/MP MLA was dismissed from the court. Judge Shweta Choudhary had said on March 11 that the place of incident is from Rajasthan and it is outside the Mau jurisdiction. Naval Kishore has challenged this in the District Judge Court. After the hearing, the judge has fixed April 26 as the date of hearing by registering it as a criminal watch. The same judge has ordered to issue notice to the Chief Minister and other opposition parties.
