Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s troubles are increasing. It is reported that three big aides of Khan have left before the no-confidence motion. Now these parties can join hands with the opposition parties trying to oust PM Khan from power. In the National Assembly, the speaker has called a session of the lower house on March 25.
News agency ANI quoted other media reports as saying that the ruling party’s three big allies have decided to go with the opposition. These include the names of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and Balochistan Awami Party. It is being told that all three can soon announce to go with the opposition.
What is the condition of Pakistan’s politics
At the moment, Imran Khan’s party is facing internal rebellion. Members of National Assembly (MNAs) are leaving PTI and joining hands with opposition parties. Earlier, 24 MPs had declared to vote in support of the no-confidence motion and distanced themselves from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Opposition parties in Pakistan filed a no-confidence motion in the Secretariat on March 8. The opposition hopes that they will oust Khan from power. However, the PM has also warned the opposition. However, in the 342-member assembly, Khan needs the support of at least 172 MPs to save the government. Here, the opposition has claimed that they have enough numbers to pass the no-confidence motion.
