Karachi: A tragic incident has happened in Pakistan’s Sindh province. At least five people were killed and 50 injured when a gas cylinder exploded here, reportedly due to extreme heat. Police gave information about the accident on Friday. The incident happened on Thursday in Hyderabad city of Sindh where a gas cylinder kept in a shop exploded due to extreme heat.
Four children and a woman died
According to police, “Four children and a woman were killed and 50 people were injured in an explosion of a gas cylinder kept in a shop in Hyderabad city of Pakistan.” Police said that five seriously injured people died on Friday during treatment in the hospital.
Accident caused by heat
A senior police officer said the shop was on the ground floor while there were houses on the first and second floors. He said, “After the explosion, the fire engulfed other floors as well.” He said the gas cylinder explosion was probably caused by the intense heat prevailing in Sindh where the temperature has crossed 50 centigrade at some places.
