UGC NET June 2024 Registration Extended: Candidates who want to get the job of Assistant Professor and JRF in government colleges, then they will have to pass the UGC NET exam. National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the date of application process for UGC NET 2024 June. Those candidates who have not yet applied for these posts can apply by visiting the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. UGC Chairman has announced that candidates now have till May 15 as the last date to register for this exam.
NTA claimed that the agency has received several requests from candidates to extend the last date to apply. As per the previous notice, NTA and UGC had earlier decided to shift UGC-NET from June 16 (Sunday) to June 18. Now, NTA will conduct UGC-NET in OMR mode on a single day across the country. The Commission has taken this decision because UPSC CSE exam is also going to be held on June 16 and it was clashing with UGC NET.
Fee will have to be paid to fill UGC NET form
Candidates who belong to general category will have to pay Rs 1150 as application fee. General-EWS/OBC-NCL category candidates will have to pay Rs 600 as application fee and ST/SC/PWD category candidates will have to pay Rs 375.
